John has been involved in the print industry pretty much most of his working life (and that’s many years!) Much of that has been successfully running his own businesses, both in print and reprographics. He started Printech (Europe) Ltd in 1998 which combined much of his expertise and channelled it into one business where he could offer his clients a complete print management package. It’s going from strength to strength, and plans for the future are exciting.

With a strong interest in growing his collection of watches, John’s timekeeping should be better, much like his golf! A regular golfer, he talks a very good game... Also a Man Utd supporter, he’s always banging on about supporting them before they were good. John moves house at least once every two years, we still don’t know why...
Nolan Ralph

Nolan comes from a print background, having worked for a web and sheet fed litho printer in Essex before finding his feet in the selling side of the business. He’s been with Printech for over five years now, and has been an integral part of the growth of the business and client base.
Personal profile (Capricorn)
Nolan also wields a half decent five iron when he gets the chance. As a Spurs supporter he is used to sporting underachievement however. He displays an unhealthy amount of energy for a man his age, possibly something to do with his intake of anything sweet or sugary. With a young, growing family we expect to see those energy levels reduce as the children grow!
Mark Harris

Mark’s initial move into the print industry came with a ten year stint in production at Express Newspapers. Having a great knowledge of a wide range of print disciplines, Marks expertise in sourcing the best suppliers to match our clients requirements is second to none. He has been integral in developing our core base of suppliers, and maintaining the quality and customer service ethos across them all.

Continuing the football theme (arguably) Mark is a West Ham supporter, but then somebody has to...! As well as sourcing the best print, Mark is also able to source the best lunch option across all of Chelmsford, and possibly beyond. Mark too has a young family, but his personal attempts at staying young with severe haircuts appear to fail dismally.
Scott Harris

Scott graduated from University with an Engineering degree moved into print and production also at Express Newspapers for a couple of years. He has then worked with John previously, with experience on the reprographics and design side of the business. A long time member of the team here at Printech, Scott also works closely with our suppliers, and account manages on a number of our publishing accounts.

He may not look it, but apparently Scott’s still young enough to actually play football, we do believe that if he took his boots to Upton Park he’s in with a shout! As well as keeping fit with dog walking and also bringing up a young family, Scott plays guitar, listens to a lot of music, and would profess to provide the cultural presence within the business. Go figure...
Alan Cooke

Alan Started in the print industry at BPCC (now Polestar), and has been involved in print sales with a number of large industry names, such as The Wace Group, Pindar, and RR Donnelly over the last twenty years. Joining Printech at the end of 2010 Alan saw the opportunity to work for a small but forward thinking and successful print management business, and be part of their move to the next level.

A wannabe chef, anything food or drink is fine by him! Although not too shabby in the kitchen, meals apparently are always produced with a glass of red in hand. A thoroughbred Tractor Boy, Alan is confident that Ipswich will one day be restored to their rightful place as Champions League regulars. Exercise is currently restricted to an occasional poor round of golf and a bit of walking in Scotland when the chance arises. Clearly not very often...
Peter Berry

Peter has a print and traditional reprographics pedigree also. He has worked in the industry for many years, with stints as a machine minder and subsequently a mac operator. He was delighted to head up the Printech Digital operation as it started three years ago. Managing two digital presses and accompanying finishing kit, this now forms an integral part of the Printech offering, and is a key area of growth. Peter ensures clients receive exceptional products and service, and also makes sure clients are up to speed with industry developments and getting the most from Printech with this fast moving aspect of the print industry.

Peter professes to have no life outside of work, and we tend to agree with him! However he is rumoured to be a passionate photographer and quite a good one, although nobody has actually seen the results. Another distinctly average golfer who talks a good game, Peter also enjoys a rare quiet moment with a book (same one for the last seven years, he is now threatening to read it). The rest of the time is spent with his family, and “socialising” – in no particular order...
Stuart Knight

Stuart's background is less print, more business orientated. He has been running his own business in the travel industry for many years, and therefore brings us a rounded and very customer focussed set of skills. Now that has been applied to our print business, the Northampton arm of Printech is growing at a rate of knots, and is adding an area of business growth in the home counties and beyond.

Resident DJ Stuart, otherwise known as Tiny Tempura, apparently mixes a sick disc... We have no idea what that means, but it has something to do with banging out “Come on Eileen” at midnight from his mobile disco on a Saturday night. He also travels extensively following his previous business experience. Stuart also professes to supporting Man Utd, but like most Man Utd supporters it appears somewhat superficial and south of Watford Gap.
Sue Ferrington

Work profile
Sue works in the Printech head office, and is the first line of contact for all matters accounts related. She has been with us now for just over three years, and is a key member of the administration team that pulls the business together. Any queries regarding invoices for both customers and suppliers, then Sue is the person to call.
Personal profile (Libra)
Amazingly, with an office full of football mad men, as well a couple at home, Sue has an inherent hatred of football! Hard to understand, but there you are! She loves a good holiday and the sunshine, don’t we all. Sue also loves to cook and bake, particularly cakes...allegedly – as nobody in the office in the three years has ever seen the results of her culinary expertise. Rumours of food poisoning and real rock cakes will abound until that is proven otherwise.
